The Young Architects Design Award was initiated in 1995 and is given each year to recognize an alumnus of the University of Florida School of Architecture who has graduated within the previous 20 years and made significant design contributions in the architecture profession.

Presented to an architect in the first ten years of his or her career since licensing who has made an impact on the profession in terms of design excellence or service to the profession.
2021 AIA Florida/Caribbean Design Awards Winner

The AIA Florida/Caribbean Design Awards program encourages excellence in architecture, elevates the public awareness of good design and recognizes those architects whose work enriches our environment. Recipients are awarded with Honor, Merit or Citation awards, “Honor” being the highest. Floreana Nail Spa received an Honor Award of Excellence in the Interiors category - the Honor level acknowledges a project with distinctive character and outstanding quality - and Casa 640 received a Citation in the Unbuilt category - Citations recognize projects of notable accomplishment in a specific area.
