Glenda Puente /Architect


Glenda Puente, AIA is an award-winning architect and educator based in South Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Florida (Alpha Rho Chi Medal recipient).  

Through her research-based practice launched in 2019, Puente works seamlessly between architecture, interiors, installations, and exhibition; the common thread is the search for simplicity, with an emphasis on local culture and history.

Beyond her practice, past and current roles include Adjunct Faculty at Florida International University School of Architecture and University of Miami School of Architecture, Chapter President of Docomomo US/Florida, cofounder of the Miami Architecture and Design Film Festival and US coordinator for the Bienal Panamericana de Arquitectura de Quito. 

Puente was elected to AIA Florida’s Citizen Architect Class of 2017, awarded Young Architect of the Year by AIA Miami in 2019, the recipient of two Design Awards by AIA Florida in 2021, and the Young Architects Design Award recipient by the University of Florida School of Architecture in 2023.
