country isles HOUSE
WESTON, FLORIDA
This project began with a young family’s desire to enclose the side yard porch of their home to create additional interior space and accommodate a new kitchen layout. The house is on a lake front, however, the existing layout presented a missed opportunity to engage the home’s relationship to the water with views obscured upon entry by the kitchen counter. The proposal reorients the kitchen to open a clear visual connection from the front door and living area to the water, transforming the arrival experience and reinforcing a sense of openness throughout the main living space.

The scope also included a comprehensive upgrade of the kitchen and interior finishes to better reflect the family’s lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. The existing bay window is enhanced with built-in seating and storage for toys to create a purposeful, light-filled moment within the new layout.
